Literature Text

I watched as he took what was mine
Giving her only, in absence of my anguish, words
Those words were laced sweetly in love
Love that sent my blood from boiling to on fire
How dare he defile my precious flower
Now, how can I erase him?

I see how she views him
And how her eyes fail to lock with mine
Rumors spread like wildfire, holding no truth in their words
Apparently they are in love
Their joy is my pain, their ice to my fire
What was I to do when he took away my flower?

Picking a rose and presenting the flower
Was such a small act by him
Yet it worked to steal her who was mine
She told me that the talk was just aimless words
She said they held no love
Then why did she leave me to burn in her fire?

Choose me or the fire
I told my darling flower
Although she remained quiet as she hoped for him
Where is the love that was dubbed mine?
Recite again to me those words
Tears stained her cheeks as I heard she fell out of love

The horrors of love
Spread quickly like fire
As he came grasping the flower
The scene shocked him
As I confronted him on his involvement on what was mine
And to this he played the fool who spun lies from words

Growing tired of his words
And his lack of understanding our love
I watched as his eyes reflected fire
Holding my flower
I stared straight at him
Let him now know what is mine

Having her as mine, I whispered to her sweet words
We have love therefore we need not mind the fire
The inferno took my flower and I forever away from him
